Overview
Employer-sponsored work permit followed by a Temporary Residence Card (LĐ, up to 2 years). Under Decree 219/2025 an expert needs a degree plus 3 years' relevant experience, or 5 years plus a professional certificate. Indian documents need full consular legalisation (Vietnam is not in the Apostille Convention). Short assignments under 90 working days per year are now work-permit-exempt.
