🇻🇳 Vietnam visas for India citizens

Employer-sponsored work permit followed by a Temporary Residence Card (LĐ, up to 2 years). Under Decree 219/2025 an expert needs a degree plus 3 years' relevant experience, or 5 years plus a professional certificate. Indian documents need full consular legalisation (Vietnam is not in the Apostille Convention). Short assignments under 90 working days per year are now work-permit-exempt.

For commercial activity sponsored by a Vietnamese company — meetings, negotiations, oversight — typically up to 90 days. The e-visa costs $25 single / $50 multiple entry. It is not a substitute for a work permit: taking a salaried role in Vietnam requires the work permit + LD visa route.
