Where Indians apply

You apply online through AVATS, print and sign the summary form, then book a VFS Global appointment in India to lodge your documents and give biometrics (required for residents of India aged 5 and over); the Embassy of Ireland in New Delhi decides.

Fee and processing time

The fee is EUR 60 for a single-entry visa (INR 5,300) or EUR 100 for multiple entry (INR 9,000), granted only in limited circumstances, and is not refunded. The New Delhi visa office quotes 6 to 8 weeks for visit visas and about 4 weeks for business, conference and event visas, counted in working days from receipt at the embassy and excluding VFS appointment and transit time, so apply up to 90 days ahead and do not buy tickets before approval; since 1 June 2026 a short-stay refusal can no longer be appealed.

That is about $65 in US dollars at the time of verification; the official fee is set in local currency.
