Saudi Work Visa (Iqama)
workEmployer-sponsored work permit. Your Saudi employer must obtain approval through the Ministry of Human Resources (MHRSD/Qiwa) before any visa can issue — there is no self-sponsored route. On the Bangladesh side two steps are non-negotiable: a GAMCA-accredited medical, without which Saudi Arabia will not issue the visa at all, and BMET emigration clearance, without which airport immigration will stop you even holding a valid visa. Skilled trades must also pass the Saudi Skill Verification Programme trade test. Expect 4–10 weeks from MHRSD approval to departure.
Domestic Worker Visa (Musaned)
workSeparate route for domestic and household workers, processed through Saudi Arabia's Musaned platform rather than the standard Qiwa work-permit flow. Musaned exists to make the contract, wage and recruitment terms auditable, so insist on a Musaned-registered contract — it is your main protection against unlicensed brokers, which are the single biggest risk in this corridor. Domestic workers cannot sponsor family and the visa does not lead to residency. BMET clearance and a GAMCA medical are still mandatory.
