Digital Nomad Visa (Teletrabajo)
nomadSpain's remote-work residence permit, and the most practical self-serve route for Brazilians who already have income from outside Spain. You need to work remotely for companies based outside Spain — no more than 20 per cent of your income may come from Spanish clients — and earn around twice the Spanish minimum wage, roughly €2,650 a month, with more required for each family member. You also need either a degree or three years of relevant experience, plus proof the employer has existed for at least a year. Where this becomes powerful is the exit: as a Brazilian national you can naturalise after just two years of legal residence under Article 22 of the Código Civil, against ten years for most nationalities, so this visa can put Spanish and therefore EU citizenship within a realistic horizon.
Work & Residence Permit (Cuenta Ajena)
workThe employer-sponsored route. Your Spanish employer applies for the combined work and residence authorisation, and the role must normally appear on the Catálogo de Ocupaciones de Difícil Cobertura — the shortage occupation catalogue — or survive a labour market test showing no suitable EU candidate was available. Brazilians can enter Spain visa-free for 90 days as tourists, but that does not permit work, and relying on an overstay to claim arraigo later is a poor plan when proper routes exist. As with every Spanish residence route, the prize is the same: two years of legal residence opens naturalisation for Brazilian nationals under the Ibero-American provision.
